COVID-19 Update from Ash Trail Lodge

September 6, 2020

Hello valued customers, friends and neighbors,

We are looking forward to your upcoming stay at Ash Trail Lodge! This update serves to let you know how we have modified our business practices to adapt to the MN Covid Guidelines for bars and restaurants and lodging. We have decided to make some changes to our bar service as we continue to find a safe solution for our cabin guests, lodge visitors, bar patrons and employees. We made a decision quite some time ago to follow the State of Minnesota guidelines implemented for COVID. This is required so we do not jeopardize our various state and county licenses and strike some sort of balance with as many guests as we can. We also have our employees health to protect as best we can.

The guidelines are: MASK UP PLEASE!  When you enter the lodge you must wear a mask until you are seated at the bar or in the dining room. Should you stand up, visit the restroom or exit you must wear your mask again. Everyone must maintain “social distancing” - tables in the dining room, patrons seated in the bar area and customers on the outside deck. Thank you for respecting these state COVID guidelines while at Ash Trail Lodge. We want to keep COVID virus away!

The indoor bar area is open Thursday thru Saturday 4pm to 10pm. Last call for indoor bar is 9:45 pm. The outside deck area will be open until 11pm Thursday to Saturday. Bar Service will be through the take out window for deck patrons. Sunday to Wednesday indoor and deck bar hours are 4pm to 9pm. All indoor bar patrons are to be seated; no mingling or standing is allowed per the state of MN guidelines at this time! Again, THANK YOU for respecting these guidelines.

Dining room remains open for dinners starting at 5:30 pm. Reservations are required and can be made at the door if you arrive without one. Please expect to wait if you do not have a reservation.  Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday food service ends at 8:00pm. Thursday thru Saturday last call for food is 8:15. Monday is pizza only from 4 to 8pm.

Restroom facilities remain available to all guests as long as they are wearing a mask!

As always, call Steve or Deb if you have any questions regarding your stay. We are excited to see you!

About our Lodge: The Lodge opens to guests at 7:30am for dock services, licenses, ice, etc. It is open to guests throughout the day for services. Please wear your mask! The deck bar opens at 4pm.

Check-in time is now 3pm. Check-out time is no later than 9am. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.  We suggest you call the lodge a day or two before your arrival and we will let you know if an earlier arrival time is possible.

In addition to bringing your own personal bath towels, you should bring your own blanket and pillows. We will provide the professionally laundered sheets for your bed and your kitchen towels. All bedspreads, blankets and pillows have been removed from the cabins. Please let us know 48 hours before arrival how many people are in your group so we can make up ONLY the beds that will be used during your stay. Please advise all members of your group to bring their own blanket & pillow. If you are unable to bring these items, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are super committed to providing you a sanitized and disinfected cabin during your stay.

You should bring a supply of hand sanitizers and wipes to use during your stay. We may have a limited supply for sale if you need some. As always, dish soap and hand/bath soaps will be provided in your cabin. As always, complimentary firewood will be provided at your fire-ring throughout your stay.

We ask that only ONE BOAT be at the gas dock at any given time. As of this writing, Fish Cleaning Service is now available except for Tuesday evenings. Steve will let you know the status of fish cleaning staff at your checkin!

We also work on the 'honor system” if staff is not readily available on the docks to assist you with gas, bait and ice. There are sheets inside the dock house with your cabin name. You simply mark what you took and it will be added to your bill at the end of your stay.

About MN Indoor Dining: Our dinner food service is indoors at this time from Tuesday to Sunday. As always, its PIZZA ONLY on Mondays! Per the guidelines, seating will be limited and we ask that you reserve your table in advance. The guidelines allow for four to a table/six if family. We will also follow social distancing with the tables.  To that end, we ask that if you do come in without a reservation, check in with the bartender or server and they will seat you as soon as they can at an available table. There will be no breakfast or lunch service at this time.

We offer additional amenities to our guests and customers:

We highly recommend you purchase your fishing license online or over the phone prior to your arrival.  If necessary, we will make accommodations to purchase your license on our DNR terminal.

Your final bill will be ready the morning of your departure. The office is open at 7:30 am. Check out is 9:00 am.  With advance notice, your bill “can” be available the evening before your departure. Please let Steve or Deb know in advance you are settling your bill and please do so before 7pm.

Options for paying your bill: check, cash or credit card.

We Hope You Enjoy Your Stay! THANK YOU!
