Well after a mid week start, and watching the trails deteriorate as the week and weekend went on, I will say there is still some great riding and fun to be had in the Ash Trail Area. The Lakes are still awesome, and as long as you can stay on them get up there and have a good time. We ran the vermilion river up to Crane lake each day and found great riding throughout the weekend. Awesome time partying on the Ash trail bars before taking the white knuckle run back to vermilion, Tom again thanks for the hospitality and drinks, see you again next year.

Its quickly coming to an end as the skies have produced some of the wet precip.  Planned on fishin' today, but gotta see if the guys want to stand in the rain or not - we don't use shelters.  Gonna try to make it down to Vermillion on Saturday for the skips if its nice.  But, may end up at Melgeorges too.

ALA and I were talking about it.  He said you might be ok getting from the cabin to Elephant on the back woods.  Dunno if that helps or not.  The river has quite a bit of water sitting on it already......
